the Request for Use of University Properties Form in advance to
confirm space for their event.
Although specific table spaces are not assigned to every section of
Ring Mall, events may still possibly take place on other parts of
Ring Mall that do not have a general diagram. Please contact

Large Greek Letters or Similar Structures on Ring Mall
As Ring Mall is a Fire Lane, Student Center and Event Services has worked with the Campus Fire Marshall to determine the safest way to help groups utilize Ring Mall as a space to hold information tables. The implemented 10ft x 10ft booth space helps to ensure that this main campus Fire Lane is kept clear of obstruction for these safety reasons. Many of the large wooden letters utilized in conjunction with student organization information tables on Ring Mall create a fire and egress hazard as they cause the groups to exceed their 10ft x 10ft space allotment.
We have developed various ways for organizations to successfully market their organization, programs and efforts on Ring Mall while adhering with the policies and plans to keep Ring Mall safe.
- If letters are used with a canopy, the letters must fit under or next to the canopy within the 10ft x 10ft space.
- Book 2 spaces next to each other to accommodate the letters. (Welcome Week is excluded from this option)
- Letters may be used if a group does not utilize a canopy at the same time and the letters fit within the 10ft x 10ft space.
- Banners, posters and flyers are highly encouraged as these items take up little space and can also deliver a high impact message.
